Following The Lights and our partner event Year of Stories 2022 with Visit Scotland are delighted to announce our first exhibition on a Scottish Island at Millport on Great Cumbrae Isle.

Celebrating the stories of lighthouses, light vessels and the famous Stevenson Lighthouse Engineers. A collection amassed over a number of years and includes rare and fascinating lighthouse artefacts that celebrate the work of the lighthouse service around the UK and the river Clyde. Autographed books and photographs from the author Robert Louis Stevenson and his parents including his father Thomas the great canal and lighthouse engineer.

In association with North Ayrshire Heritage and Culture venue The Garrison House Museum of the Cumbraes. The exhibition will run from 15 July until June 2023 9am until 5pm and is open 7 days until November when it reverts to 6 days. Items on display will include original lighthouse artwork by Jolomo and other artists. The exhibition will also feature the original Fresnel Lens once used to warn the Clyde Mariners at the Little Cumbrae Lighthouse. Images of life at the lighthouse along with video footage will also be featured. We look forward to welcoming you to Following The Lights.
